Edward Tree and Mary Shaw

Edward Tree was born 12 Aug 1787 in Marden, Kent, England.  He was the son of Samuel Tree born 24 Feb 1769 in Marden, Kent, England, died 27 Oct 1799 Marden Kent England.  His Mother Mary Clard Graves was born 13 May 1759 Marden, Kent, England, died 7 Jan 1835 buried by her husband.  The daughter of Lambert Clark and Mary Graves.

He was the second child in a family of six.  In order they were Samuel, Edward, Francis, Thomas, Elizabeth, James.

His first marriage was to Mary Partridge born abt 1796 in England, died 18 Dec 1828 at the age of 32.  She bore him six children, three girls and three boys.  John Robert was the youngest of this family and was only four when his mother died.

Edward then married Mary Shaw born 30 Nov 1806 in Horsemonden, Kent, England.  THe daughter of George Shaw (Sargent in the British Army) and Hannah Gotten.  Mary died on 6 Mar 1835 at the age of twenty seven years old.  She also born Edward three sons and two daughters.  Edward James, Mary Ann, and Hannah.  Two sons died in infancy.

Edward was twice left without a wife at the age of forty eight the father of seven surviving children.  The family were members of The Church of England.  He lived to be 80 years old and died 21 Sep 1878 in Bearstead, Kent, England where he was buried.
