Brown Pedigree in America


BROWN PEDIGREE IN AMERICA
1. BROWN, Nicholas was born in England and came to America in 1638. He settled first at Portsmouth, Newport, Rhode Island.
He married and had four children; then he married again - Mrs. Frances Parker, a widow of George Parker. He made a will and it was proven 27 April 1694 at Portsmouth.
2.    BROWN, Abraham was born 1641 at Portsmouth, Newport, Rhode Island. As a young man he moved to New Jersey with his second wife Mary Potter. They had 8 children all born in New Jersey. His first wife is not known. The date of either marriage is not known. He was buried at Mansfield, Burlington, New Jersey.
3.    BROWN, Preserve was born about 1679 at Shruwsbury, Monmouth, New Jersey. He and his wife Mary had two children. He died 26 June 1744 at Bordentown, Burlington, New Jersey, at age 65.
4.       BROWN, Preserve was born about 1699 at Chesterfield, Burlington, Now Jersey. He married Mary French 15 October 1724. Later he married Mary Sykes. He had six children. He died 23 July 1760.
5.       BROWN, William was born 3 March 1740 at Mansfield, Burlington, New Jersey. He was married to Rebecca Jones 10 August 1762 at Philadelphia, Pa. They had four children, all born at Philadelphia. He made a will, and it was proven 26 September 1807.
6.       BROWN, Samuel Biles was born about 1764 at Philadelphia, Pa. He married Ann Kempton on 22 June or July 1797, and they had one son. After his death, his wife married Ephraim Haines 30 June 1807.
7.       BROWN, Abia William was born 18 October 1799 at Mount Holly, Burlington, Now Jersey.
He married Abigail Cadwallader 28 April 1830 . They had seven children. He died 27 August 1848 at Hancock County, Illinois.
8.       BROWN, Abia William was born 5 May 1840 at Harrisville, Harrison, Ohio. He married first Emma Susan Sibley: their issue was 12 children. He later married Lucinda Araminta Stewart; their issue was six children. His first marriage was 29 November, 1869. The second marriage was 23 August 1882. He died 27 May at Fredonia, Arizona and was buried at Fredonia 30 May 1924.
